The Path of life

“Thou wilt show me the path of life.”

Your voice sounded in the middle of my peril.

Lord, I knew it was Your voice.

I was drowning in despair and hopelessness

Until You stepped in and made my way.

You led me on the road to merry.

I was glad as I rejoiced in Your victories in my life.

You showed Your hand so strong in my life;

People, in awe, admired the kind of life You gave me.

But none of that ever got to me,

Because it was You! You showing me Your goodness.

You refused to forsake me at my weakest.

You anointed me with eye salve.

You brought fulfillment from the deep embers of my spirit.

You led me to May. You showed me Phaneroo.

You showed me God’s gift.

You anointed me under Pastor Chris.

You taught me the way a Father would.

You brought me into the company of greats.

You brought honor, favor, and respect to Your Name through me.

You showed me the path of life—

my life radiated You,

and You announced me to my world

in Your beauty and Your grace.

Lord, I thank You for being my God,

my Father and ever-present Help

in my moments of need.

I cannot do life without You!
