DON’T STRESS/KILL YOURSELF

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Ambition is beautiful. Drive is powerful. But when your pursuit of purpose begins to suffocate your peace, it’s time to pause and reset.
This generation is hungry to succeed. Hungry to rise. Hungry to break limits and build legacies. But somewhere along the line, we started glorifying burnout. We turned exhaustion into a badge of honor. We started equating being overwhelmed with being effective. And that’s not God’s way.
Jesus changed the world in three years, and never once did He panic. He moved with peace. He rested in storms. He slipped away to pray. He lived with purpose, but never at the cost of His soul.
You don’t have to kill yourself to prove your worth. You don’t have to sacrifice your health, your mind, or your spirit just to keep up. God is not impressed by your grind. He’s moved by your faith.
There is a difference between stewardship and self-destruction. Between diligence and desperation. When you begin to carry more than you were meant to, life becomes heavy. That’s why God said cast your cares. Not carry them. Not bottle them up. But release them into His hands.
Yes, the vision matters. Yes, your assignment is important. But not at the cost of your sanity.
Elijah called down fire from heaven. But right after that, he was so overwhelmed he asked God to take his life. He was burnt out, alone, and drained. What did God do? He didn’t rebuke him. He told him to rest. He gave him food. He let him recover.
(1 Kings 19:3-8)
Sometimes, the holiest thing you can do is breathe.
Take a step back,
And remember you are not the source, God is.
You don’t need to perform to be loved.
You don’t need to collapse to be celebrated.
You don’t need to break yourself to reach your future.
